Dr Pritpal Bansi is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a primary focus on shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery. He has been a Visiting Medical Practitioner at The Wesley Hospital since 2009. Dr Bansi obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Queensland in 1996. He completed advanced training in orthopaedics within the Queensland training program and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007.
In addition to his Fellowship, Dr Bansi is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and holds certification as an Independent Medical Examiner. He has a special interest in surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and hand, including microsurgery.
From 2007 to 2008, Dr Bansi served as the Director of Orthopaedics at the Townsville Hospital, where he focused on disorders of the shoulder, elbow, and hand. He then pursued a Fellowship in all aspects of hand and wrist surgery, including microsurgery, at St. Luke's and Sydney Hospital Hand Unit.
