Dr Paul Cozzi

A/Prof Paul Cozzi is a highly qualified urologist with a distinguished career in clinical and laboratory-based cancer research. After graduating from the University of NSW in 1990, he completed his urology training and was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 1999.

With a major interest in prostate cancer treatment, Paul completed a Masters in Surgery in 1998 and pursued further training in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Care Center in New York for two years. His expertise in prostate cancer treatment includes the use of pioneering nerve sparing surgery, both open and robotic, to optimize cure rates while maintaining erectile function.

Paul is a prolific researcher and has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications to date, including several landmark papers in international journals of excellence and book chapters on prostate cancer. He is an active member of the editorial board of several medical journals, including the Australian and New Zealand Journal Of Surgery, and has delivered numerous keynote speeches at international urology conferences.
