Dr. Osamu Yoshino is a highly trained General Surgeon specializing in Hepatopancreato-biliary surgery, with additional expertise in robotic surgery. He earned his medical degree from Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, followed by his surgical residency at Austin Health in Melbourne, Australia. He obtained his General Surgery Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and went on to complete specialized HPB/transplant training in the United States and Australia. As a testament to his commitment to excellence, he also completed a Robotic HPB fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in the USA.
Dr. Yoshino is passionate about empowering his patients by providing straightforward, detailed explanations of their medical conditions and treatment options. His clinical interests include HPB surgery, liver transplantation, pancreatitis, and biliary surgery. He has specialized training in robotic surgery, including hernia repair, whipple surgery, hepatectomy, and bile duct excision.
Throughout his career, Dr. Yoshino has remained dedicated to advancing the field of HPB surgery. He has recently returned to Melbourne after completing his robotic HPB fellowship in North Carolina. Dr. Yoshino earned his MD from Tohoku University, Sendai, and his PhD from the University of Newcastle in Australia. He holds a fellowship with the American Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Association and is a FRACS of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
