Dr Michelle Butler

Dr Michelle Butler is an experienced Cardiologist based in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne and St Vincent's Hospital Clinical School, followed by residency at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. Dr Butler then pursued advanced cardiology training at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, specialising in non-invasive cardiac imaging.

During her training, Dr Butler completed an imaging fellowship at The Alfred Hospital, where she gained expertise in all aspects of echocardiography, including transthoracic, transoesophogeal, and stress echo. She also received training in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, and has been involved in cardiac magnetic resonance research.

Dr Butler has worked as a consultant cardiologist at Hollywood Private Hospital in Perth, Western Australia, where she gained valuable clinical experience. She has also presented at numerous professional meetings in Australia and the USA.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Butler specialises in the management of heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, peri-operative medicine, and the management of cardiac conditions during pregnancy.

Dr Butler joined GenesisCare (formerly HeartCare Partners) in 2013 and currently practices at the Mater Private Clinic. Her dedication to providing comprehensive and high-quality care to her patients is well-regarded within the medical community.
