Dr Maylene Pineda

Dr. Maylene Pineda is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and holds a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound and a Masters of Philosophy in Medicine from the University of Sydney. Dr. Pineda is also a staff specialist who has specialized in Maternal Fetal Medicine and is the clinical lead in Perinatal Ultrasound, Maternal Fetal Medicine Department and High Risk Clinic. She is highly dedicated and passionate about providing quality perinatal care to her patients. Currently, Dr. Pineda is the Head of the Department of Obstetrics in Nepean Hospital and works as a partner in Parramatta Ultrasound for Women. She excels in managing a wide range of obstetric and gynaecologic care, with a particular expertise in high risk pregnancies, perinatal ultrasound and gynaecological assessments. As an author of several publications, Dr. Pineda is actively involved in teaching medical students, resident medical officers, registrars and midwifery staff at the University of Sydney. She is also involved in the revision and implementation of hospital guidelines and clinical governance. Dr. Pineda is known to be a caring individual by both patients and colleagues alike. She considers her kind and gentle demeanor an asset as it allows her to empathise and relate well with her patients. Dr. Pineda is married and enjoys spending time with her young family and cooking at home. Her main objective is to provide the highest level of care in women's health. Dr. Pineda's special interests include high-risk pregnancies and diagnostic ultrasound. Being fluent in Tagalog (Filipino), she is capable of communicating with diversity and providing services to a wider range of patients.
