Dr Myriam Girgis

Dr. Girgis is a highly skilled and experienced gynaecologist, with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and management of complex cases. She provides a comprehensive range of services, including medical and surgical management of gynaecological conditions, pre-conception counselling, antenatal and postnatal care.

Dr. Girgis is a postgraduate Fellow in Complex and Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery, and has completed a Master of Surgery (Advanced Gynaecological Surgery) and a Master of Women's Health Medicine. She is proficient in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, removal of ovarian cysts, myomectomy and endometriosis surgery, and operative hysteroscopy for fibroid resection, endometrial ablation, and polyp removal. She is also experienced in open and vaginal surgeries.

Dr. Girgis is passionate about educating and mentoring junior colleagues, and regularly coordinates laparoscopic training sessions, Minimally Invasive Surgery workshops, and RANZCOG practice examinations. She presents at national and local conferences and has published several papers in peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Girgis holds appointments at St George Private Hospital, Strathfield Private Hospital, Hurstville Private Hospital, and Canterbury Hospital.
