Dr Melissa Delgado

Dr. Melissa Delgado is a compassionate, dedicated and highly qualified Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant. After completing her General Practice training, she discovered her passion for women's health and decided to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr. Delgado has an extensive background in this field and has received training and guidance from prestigious institutions such as the Australian Gynaecological & Surgery Society (AGES) and Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery Unit (SWAPS). She has also recently completed her Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound at Nepean Hospital and is currently pursuing a Masters in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Barcelona University.

Dr. Delgado is known to provide a holistic approach to patient care and is a staff specialist at Blacktown Hospital where she conducts clinics and surgical procedures. She is committed to teaching RANZCOG trainees and is the current Training Supervisor for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Her passion for educating her junior staff and midwifery team is based on her strong conviction that knowledge can make a positive difference in this world.

Dr. Delgado is also a lecturer for Western Sydney University and has authored several publications in her field. She enjoys spending quality time with her family in her free time and is a wife and a mother of two. Her areas of expertise in women's health care include menstrual issues, contraceptive advice, pap smears, prenatal care, antenatal care, postpartum care, perimenopause, menopause, obstetrics (pregnancy and birth), gynaecology (including laparoscopic surgery and hysterectomy) and colposcopy for the management of abnormal cervical screening and pap smears.
