Dr Lewis Holford

Dr. Lewis Holford, an extensively qualified specialist in both Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia, is the Director of the Northern Private Pain Centre. Focusing on interventional pain medicine, Dr. Holford exhibits exceptional experience in spinal pain diagnostic procedures and treatment. Dr. Holford began his medical education and internship in the UK and later continued his postgraduate anaesthesia training in Australia and New Zealand. He holds a Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, which he earned in 2006. Later, Dr. Holford achieved specialization in Pain Medicine from the Royal North Shore Hospital Pain Management and Research Centre and was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine in 2007. Dr. Holford has extensive experience in advanced interventional pain management techniques, such as radiofrequency treatment and neuromodulation. He has pursued advanced training in these techniques in the UK and the US. Dr. Holford is the member of International Spine Intervention Society, International Neuromodulation Society, The International Association for the Study of Pain and the Australian Pain Society. Dr. Holford has expertise in radiofrequency procedures and spinal cord stimulation as a component of the multidisciplinary treatment of back pain, neck pain, pain after spinal surgery, complex regional pain syndrome, and neuropathic pain. He is highly sought after in the industry and continues to advance patient care and research in his particular field of specialization.
