Dr. Hamedani is a specialist pain medicine physician who has received training in Australia. His previous experience includes working at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and as a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland Medical School. Dr. Hamedani has a strong desire to improve the quality of life for patients, which led him to undertake advanced training in pain medicine. His advanced training was completed in Brisbane and Melbourne, making him a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist.
Dr. Hamedani is uniquely positioned to treat patients with pain-related issues, with dual fellowships in Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA) and General Practice (FRACGP). His experience in general practice and his interactions with patients and their families have allowed him to understand the profound impact of pain on the community. Dr. Hamedani has worked with different public and private pain rehabilitation and intervention centres to ensure that his patients receive high-quality holistic care for acute and chronic pain problems.
Dr. Hamedani's primary areas of interest include musculoskeletal pain like back, neck, shoulder, and knee pain, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome, and preventing acute pain from transitioning to persistent pain. He believes in taking a holistic approach to pain medicine that is tailored to each patient's unique needs. Dr. Hamedani fosters strong relationships with his patients, enabling them to share even the most hidden impacts of their pain.
Dr. Hamedani considers pain medicine to be the most rewarding field in medicine. He believes that the individual pain experience is unique for every person, and therefore a "one size fits all" solution does not exist. Depending on the patient's suffering, he may choose a conservative or interventional approach to address the pain in the most appropriate way, allowing the patients to be the master of their own pain.
