Dr Williemena Ong

Meet Dr Williemena Ong, an accomplished Anaesthetist and Pain Specialist affiliated with Mitcham Private Hospital. Dr Ong received her medical degree from the University of Malaya and subsequently a degree in anaesthetist from the National University of Malaysia, after which she underwent pain training. Moving to Victoria in 2012, she has since worked at Pain Matrix Eastern and the Werribee Mercy hospital while also becoming a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZA).

Having previously served as a pain fellow at several esteemed institutions including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Geelong Hospital, and Royal Melbourne Hospital, Dr Ong has treated a broad spectrum of patients, including children, trauma patients, and seniors living with chronic pain. Currently, she is excited to focus on ultrasound-guided pain interventional procedures, which she finds to be her most rewarding work.

Dr Ong is passionate about helping her patients achieve a pain-free life and is dedicated to staying abreast of the latest techniques and technologies in pain management. As an experienced member of the team at Mitcham Private Hospital, she is available to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to all her patients.
