Dr Lara Freeman

Meet Dr. Lara Freeman, a vastly experienced Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgeon, specialising in minimally invasive techniques for both Bariatric (weight loss) and General Surgery. Dr. Freeman's area of expertise lies in Revisional Bariatric Surgery and has completed further training in an Upper GI and Bariatric Fellowship at the Austin Hospital. A distinguished training institution within Australia and New Zealand Gastro-Oesophageal Surgical Association.

Dr. Freeman graduated with honors in undergraduate medicine from Monash University in 2006, following which she enrolled in the general surgical training program at The Alfred where she was trained in general, laparoscopic (key hole), and trauma surgeries. In 2016, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, adding another prestigious title to her name.

She also holds accreditation from the Gastroenterology Society of Australia as an endoscopist. With her extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Freeman is well equipped to provide comprehensive surgical care to her patients.
