Dr Terry Stephens

Dr Terry Stephens is an orthopaedic surgeon with extensive medical training and experience. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne, Australia, which he completed in 2006. Dr Stephens is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). His commitment to improving patient care and advancing his skills led him to pursue additional training in Canada.

In Canada, Dr Stephens completed a one-year Arthroplasty Clinical Fellowship at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During this fellowship, he focused on hip and knee replacement surgery, with a special interest in revision surgery and the management of infections and painful joint replacements. Following this, he further honed his skills in orthopaedic trauma during a one-year Trauma Clinical Fellowship at the University of Calgary, Alberta. His training focused on the treatment of multiply-injured patients, fractures near joints, pelvic fractures, and soft tissue knee injuries.

Upon completion of his advanced training, Dr Stephens returned to Melbourne, Australia, where he now provides orthopaedic services at public hospitals such as Alfred Health and Peninsula Health in Frankston. He also offers his expertise in hip and knee replacement surgery, trauma, and fracture management to patients in the Frankston area, the Mornington Peninsula, and the southeastern suburbs, including Holmesglen Private Hospital.

With his comprehensive training and dedication to patient care, Dr Terry Stephens aims to provide the highest quality orthopaedic care to his patients. His special interests include hip and knee replacement and revision surgery, as well as knee arthroscopy.
