Dr John Keogh

Dr John Keogh is an exceptionally skilled gynaecologist based in Wahroonga, Sydney, Australia. With a career spanning over three decades, Dr Keogh has established himself as a respected medical professional in the field of gynaecology.

Dr Keogh obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Sydney in 1982. Following his general medical and paediatric training, he developed a keen interest in obstetrics and gynaecology after completing a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sutherland Hospital.

Driven by his passion for the field, Dr Keogh embarked on further training in the United Kingdom and Ireland. During this time, he also had the opportunity to work in Tanzania, gaining valuable international experience. After returning to Australia, he completed his specialist training in Western Australia and took up a position as a Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Edward Hospital and the University of Western Australia.

During his tenure at King Edward Hospital, Dr Keogh focused his research on studying the causes and outcomes of babies born with neurological issues in the first week of life. His commitment to research and improving patient outcomes was evident even at this early stage in his career.

When his wife was offered a position at the Children's Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Dr Keogh relocated and joined Hornsby Hospital. There, he served as a Senior Staff Specialist and eventually became the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, overseeing the care of numerous families during pregnancy. During his time at Hornsby, Dr Keogh also delved into private practice and joined the esteemed team at Sydney Adventist Hospital.

With a focus on advanced endoscopic surgery and endometrial ablation, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, as well as general obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr Keogh brings a vast range of expertise to his patients. He is known for his compassionate approach, dedication to excellence, and commitment to providing the highest standard of care.

Dr Keogh is proud to work alongside Dr Andrew Booker at the San Clinic in Sydney Adventist Hospital, where they collaborate with a team of midwives and exceptional administrative staff. Together, they strive to create a supportive and comprehensive healthcare environment for their patients.
