Dr Joanne Castelli

Dr Joanne Castelli is a female Radiation Oncologist based in Maroochydore, Queensland, Australia. She holds the qualifications of FRANZCR, MBBS (Hons), BSc (Biomed). Dr Castelli obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2010, where she graduated with research honors in the field of lung cancer. She completed her specialist oncology training at major tertiary Queensland centers, gaining extensive experience in managing various types of cancer.

In 2018, Dr Castelli became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) and subsequently worked as a consultant radiation oncologist at Mater Cancer Care Centre South Brisbane. Alongside her clinical work, she has a strong interest in education, research, and clinical trials. Dr Castelli recently completed a clinical research fellowship focusing on intracranial stereotactic radiation therapy and stereotactic body radiation therapy.

Dr Castelli's clinical expertise spans across a wide range of solid tumor malignancies, with special interests in stereotactic radiation therapy, breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and central nervous system (CNS) malignancies.
