Dr Dinesh Vignarajah

Dr Dinesh Vignarajah is an experienced and skilled Radiation Oncologist based in Maroochydore, Queensland, Australia. With a specialty in Radiation Oncology, he is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to his patients.

Dr Vignarajah obtained his undergraduate medical degree from James Cook University in Townsville in 2006. He then embarked on a comprehensive training program within the Queensland network, serving as a Radiation Oncology registrar at esteemed hospitals including The Townsville Hospital, The Princess Alexandria Hospital, and The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. In 2016, he achieved fellowship status.

In recognition of his exceptional skills and dedication to his field, Dr Vignarajah was awarded the prestigious Windeyer Fellowship in 2016. During this fellowship, he further honed his expertise in genitourinary, gynaecological, haematological, and breast malignancies at The Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in London, United Kingdom. He actively engaged in clinical research, focusing on adaptive radiotherapy, HDR/LDR brachytherapy, and stereotactic radiotherapy.

Currently, Dr Vignarajah serves as a Radiation Oncologist at the Icon Cancer Centre Maroochydore and holds a staff specialist appointment at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Alongside his clinical practice, he has a keen interest in research and teaching, holding an academic appointment with the University of Queensland.

Dr Vignarajah's main areas of interest lie in the treatment and management of gynaecological cancer, genitourinary cancer, and central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. He is committed to providing personalized and compassionate care to his patients, ensuring they receive the most effective treatment options available.
