Dr. Chu is a highly experienced Hepatobiliary and General Surgeon with a decade-long specialization in St. George and Sutherland Shire. As a specialist in the Laparoscopic management of complicated gallbladder disease and abdominal wall hernias, Dr. Chu is committed to providing patients with high-quality and safe surgical care. He is also an expert in the comprehensive management of primary and metastatic cancer in the liver, a field where he has garnered significant expertise over the years.

Apart from being a founding member of the St. George Hospital Hepatoma Clinic, Dr. Chu has conducted over 700 liver resections with minimally invasive techniques and surgical adjuncts methods to reduce blood loss and improve patients' morbidity and mortality. He has also made significant contributions to the NSW Cancer Institute Hepatocellular Cancer Committee, where he currently serves as a working member.
