Eric Karim Slimani is an experienced Cardiothoracic surgeon who has dedicated his career to surgical management of intrathoracic diseases and abnormalities of the heart and lungs, as well as the great vessels, trachea, diaphragm, and chest wall. He is an expert in high-risk, high-precision procedures that transform the lives of patients suffering from heart and lung diseases.
Mr. Slimani received his MB, BS degree from the University of Adelaide. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, with a specialization in Cardiothoracic Surgery, which he earned in 2012. Prior to receiving his fellowship, he completed his Cardiothoracic and Transplantation residency at Saint Vincent's Hospital Sydney, where he served as a registrar and fellow.
Following his residency, Mr. Slimani served as a Chef de Clinique Cardiothoracic Surgery and Transplantation at Centre Universitaire Hospitalier Rennes in France from November 2012 to December 2013. He then moved to Australia and served as a Consultant Cardiothoracic and Heart & Lung Transplant Surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital from January 2014 until 2015. Since then, he has been offering his services as a consultant Cardiothoracic and Heart & Lung Transplant surgeon at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth, where he continues to work today. Additionally, he has been serving as a consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Mount Hospital Perth since 2014.
