Dianna Li is a bilingual Australian neurosurgeon who is fluent in English and Mandarin. After graduating from Melbourne University in 2008 with a degree in medicine, Li completed her internship, residency, and unaccredited Neurosurgery training at multiple hospitals around New South Wales. Her clinical practice included rotations at Royal Prince Alfred, St George, Prince of Wales, and Sydney Children’s Hospitals. During this time, she also enrolled in a Masters of Surgery program at Sydney University, where she specialized in whole-body anatomical dissection.
In 2014, Li was selected for the prestigious binational Neurosurgery training program, ranking first in Australasia. In the same year, she received the Gordon Taylor Medal for achieving the highest score in the mandatory General Surgical Specialty Exams in Australasia. She completed her training at several hospitals, including Liverpool Hospital, Wollongong Hospital, Westmead Adult and Children Hospitals, and St George Hospital, where she received her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2021.
Following her fellowship, Li traveled to Canada to complete subspecialty training in neuro-oncology and skull base surgery at Toronto Western Hospital. She now practices brain, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery at St George Public and Private hospitals, where she serves patients from the south of Sydney and beyond. With her specialized training and clinical expertise, Li is committed to providing her patients with the highest level of care possible and has established a reputation as a leading neurosurgeon in her field.
