A/Prof Anne Capp

Dr Anne Capp is a seasoned Radiation Oncologist with over 30 years of experience in the field. She obtained her degree in medicine from The University of Tasmania in 1987 and completed her training in Radiation Oncology from St Vincent's and St George Hospitals in Sydney. Dr Capp is dedicated to providing quality care to her patients and is known for her expertise in the field.

After her training, Dr Capp pursued a two-year clinical research fellowship at the prestigious Royal Marsden Hospital in the UK. Her time there allowed her to further enhance her skills and knowledge in radiation oncology. In 1997, she returned to Australia and accepted a Staff Specialist position at the Illawarra Cancer Care Centre in Wollongong. Her exceptional work led her to the Hunter region, where she took up a Senior Staff Specialist position at Calvary Mater Newcastle in 2006. From 2010 to 2012, she also served as the Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology.

Dr Capp specialises in treating various types of malignancies, including urological, lymphoma, gastro-intestinal, gynaecological, and breast cancer. Her interests extend to developing and recruiting patients for clinical trials, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field of radiation oncology. Dr Capp's contributions to the field have been significant, and she is highly regarded for her compassion and exceptional medical skills.
