Dr Rashi Malesu

Dr. Rashi Malesu is a highly accomplished dermatologist based in Charlestown, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine degree from the University of Newcastle / University of New England in 2012. To further enhance her medical expertise, Dr. Malesu pursued a Masters of Epidemiology at the University of Sydney, where she honed her research techniques and developed an understanding of public health.

Driven by her passion for dermatology, Dr. Malesu completed her specialization training at renowned hospitals including Royal North Shore, Royal Prince Alfred, St Vincent's Hospital, and John Hunter. Throughout her career, she has made notable contributions to the field, publishing articles in esteemed Dermatology journals and presenting at national and international conferences. Dr. Malesu's outstanding research on the effects of Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) on skin cancer, particularly melanoma, earned her a Masters of Philosophy degree from the University of Sydney.

Recognized for her exceptional aptitude and dedication, Dr. Malesu was awarded the F&E Bauer Foundation Prize for the best research presentation at the annual conference of the Australasian College of Dermatology. Furthermore, she has received travel scholarships to participate in esteemed international conferences in Taiwan and Vienna, further expanding her knowledge and network.

In addition to her work in private practice, Dr. Malesu also serves as a Visiting Medical Officer in dermatology at John Hunter Hospital. With comprehensive training in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology, she specialises in pigmentary skin disorders, hair disorders, hyperhidrosis, skin cancer, acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
