A/Prof Andrew Newcomb

Dr Andrew Newcomb is a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a broad range of expertise in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery, including heart failure, congenital, thoracic, and aortic surgery. With subspecialty training in complex valve surgery, he is particularly interested in complex aortic surgery, including the David procedure, and endovascular treatment of aortic dissections, coronary surgery, all arterial revascularisation, pacing and high voltage devices, including Epicardial Left Ventricular lead insertion, and minimally invasive valve surgery.

Dr Newcomb is committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients and welcoming all patients with cardiothoracic conditions. He is currently the Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at St Vincent's Health and has been a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the same institution since 2008. He has also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Australian Catholic University and an Honorary Senior Clinical Fellow at the University of Melbourne.

In addition to his appointments, Dr Newcomb is a visiting practitioner at several leading hospitals, including St Vincent's and Mercy Private Hospital, Epworth Hospitals – Richmond and Box Hill, Knox Private Hospital Wantirna, Mulgrave Private Hospital, Albury Wodonga Private Hospital, Albury, NSW, and Albury Wodonga Health. He also consults at Melbourne Cardiothoracic Surgeons, located at Suite 35, 141 Grey St, East Melbourne, VIC 3002.
