Michael O'Keefe is a highly skilled cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive experience in providing exceptional medical services. As a Visiting Medical Officer at various hospitals, including the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Charles Clinic Heart Centre in Launceston, he has become a valued member of the medical community, highly respected for his expertise.
Michael obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours, followed by a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Tasmania. He then went on to complete his fellowship training at various hospitals in Victoria, including the Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, Austin Health, and the John Fawkner Private Hospital. In addition, he underwent post-fellowship training in advanced valve repair and aortic root at the St Luc Hospital in Brussels under the guidance of Gabrine El Khoury. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013.
