Dr Sylvia Chen is a Cardiologist based in Richmond, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She specialises in adolescent and adult congenital heart disease and has expertise in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (Cardiac MRI), transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiogram, and cardiac CT.

Dr Chen received her training in London at University College and The Royal Brompton Hospitals. She currently practices at the Northern Hospital and The Epworth Hospital. In addition, she serves as a Research Cardiologist at the Royal Women's Hospital and is affiliated with the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Dr Chen is highly involved in the field of adolescent and adult congenital heart disease and holds positions of responsibility. She leads the Northern Tasmanian Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiac MRI service, which is funded and supported by the Tasmanian Government. Furthermore, she serves as the Adult Congenital Heart Disease representative on the ANZ CMR (Australia and New Zealand Cardiac MRI) and is a Deputy Editor for the Society for Cardiovascular MRI (SCMR, USA)'s Case of the Week. Additionally, she is a member of the SCMR World Practice CMR Committee.

Dr Chen has published academic work in the field of Adult Congenital Heart Disease. She is passionate about providing excellent care to her patients and staying at the forefront of medical advancements in her specialty.
