Dr Jeremy Pereira

Dr Jeremy Pereira is a very experienced cardiologist with a specialization in stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography. He is currently based in St Albans, Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, Australia. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Dr Pereira has established himself as a trusted consultant cardiologist.

Dr Pereira obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne and went on to complete his cardiology training in Geelong and Adelaide. He further honed his expertise by pursuing a postgraduate Fellowship in Echocardiography at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in the United States. During his training, Dr Pereira received several esteemed research awards, reflecting his dedication to advancing the field of cardiology.

At present, Dr Pereira is affiliated with HeartWest, Western Health, and Western Private Hospital as a senior cardiologist. He has been serving as a consultant cardiologist in Melbourne since 2001, after returning from his training and research in the United States. Apart from his specialization in stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography, Dr Pereira is involved in all aspects of clinical cardiology. This includes diagnosing and managing various conditions such as chest pain, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and heart failure. He also performs procedures such as coronary angiography.
