Dr Weng Chan

Dr. Weng Chan is an experienced obstetrician, gynaecologist, and fertility specialist based in Mount Waverley, Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, Australia. With a passion for women's health and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Chan is dedicated to providing high-quality care to his patients.

Dr. Chan started his medical career at Monash University, where he obtained his MBBS degree in 1999. He then completed his specialist O&G training at Monash Medical Centre, with a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, and pelvic reconstructive surgery.

Currently, Dr. Chan serves as a specialist consultant at Monash Health, where he works in the Monash Gynaecology Endoscopy unit and the Urogynaecology or Pelvic Floor unit. He is also actively involved in training junior doctors in surgical skills and teaching at the Monash Medical Centre Advanced Laparoscopic Preceptorship training courses for other Obstetric and Gynaecological specialists. Moreover, he holds the position of a Final Year Medical Student Supervisor at Monash University.

Dr. Chan offers comprehensive care for women's health issues, including menstrual and pain management, pregnancy planning, assisted reproduction, antenatal care, and care beyond the reproductive years. His areas of expertise include obstetric care for low and high-risk patients, pre-pregnancy counseling, infertility, ART & IVF, advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive pelvic floor surgery, pelvic reconstruction surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy and myomectomy, endometriosis surgery, and colposcopy.

He actively supports his patients in managing various conditions such as pre-conception and fertility counseling, infertility, endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS – Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, obstetric care, contraceptive counseling, menstrual management, abnormal pap smears/colposcopy, pelvic organ prolapse management, and urinary stress and urge incontinence.
