Dr Wael Chiri is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgeries. He is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients. Dr Chiri obtained his medical degree from the University of Western Australia in 2009 and completed his Orthopaedic Surgical training in Perth from 2016 to 2020. He further honed his skills by completing a 1-year Hand and Upper Limb Postgraduate Fellowship with Professor Gregory Bain in Adelaide, South Australia.
With a passion for research, Dr Chiri has conducted several projects in Orthopaedics that have been published in international journals. He has also had the opportunity to present his research findings at various national conferences. By dedicating himself to ongoing research, Dr Chiri aims to enhance patient care and improve outcomes.
Currently, Dr Chiri serves as a Hand Specialist at the Fremantle Hand Unit in Fremantle Hospital. In addition, he is involved in lecturing medical students at Curtin University. Dr Chiri's areas of interest include upper limb sports injuries, trauma-fractures, as well as conditions related to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.
