Dr Daniel Meyerkort

Dr Daniel Meyerkort is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Canning Vale, Perth. He is affiliated with Hollywood Private Hospital and consults at Perth Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre. Dr Meyerkort obtained his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia in 2006 during which he was awarded the Sir George Bedbrook Prize for the highest score in Orthopaedics (2005). He went on to complete subspecialty fellowship training in London at the Fortius Clinic, which caters to Premier League soccer players and elite athletes, as well as additional training in Sydney and Canberra with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedics.

Dr Meyerkort has a keen interest in various areas of orthopaedic surgery, including hip, foot, knee, ankle, and trauma-fracture cases. He is particularly specialised in robotic knee replacement (partial & total), ACL and meniscus injuries, ankle arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and sports knee and ankle surgery.

Known for his expertise in the field, Dr Meyerkort has conducted research and received several awards, including the 2015 Extreme Cobalt Toxicity award, the 2014 Recurrent Atraumatic Anterior Hip Dislocation award, the 2014 Matrix-induced Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation (MACI) award, and the 2010 One-stage vs Two-stage Cartilage Repair award. He was also honoured with the Sir George Bedbrook Prize in Orthopaedics in 2005.
