Dr Peter Honey

Dr. Peter Honey is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric hand and upper limb surgery, as well as knee surgery. With over 30 years of experience in the field, Dr. Honey is skilled in a variety of orthopedic procedures, including carpal tunnel release, tendinitis surgery, Dupuytren's surgery, joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery, treatment of sporting injuries, Tommy John Surgery, treatment of upper limb fractures and dislocations, tendon transfer surgery, and correction of congenital deformities.

Dr. Honey completed his orthopedic training in Perth in 1989 and went on to further his training in Hand and Microsurgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa, as well as in Shoulder and Sports Injury Surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston. During his time in the United States, he worked closely with team doctors for the Harvard sporting teams, New England Patriots, and the Boston Bruins at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Upon returning to Perth, Dr. Honey established his own orthopedic practice and has served as the past Head of Department at SCGH (Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital) and past Chairman of the Western Australian Orthopaedic Association. He also holds an appointment as a Visiting Orthopedic Surgeon at PMH (Princess Margaret Hospital), where he specializes in complex upper limb surgery. In addition, Dr. Honey provides orthopedic services to the Subiaco Football Club.

Dr. Honey is committed to providing high-quality care and expertise in orthopedic surgery. He consults in his rooms in Altona Street, West Perth, and PMH, and a referral is necessary for an appointment. In emergency situations, he can be contacted through the switchboard at the Mount Private or Hollywood Private hospitals. Dr. Honey is also available to provide telephone advice to medical colleagues.
