Dr Joo Teoh

Dr Joo Teoh is a highly qualified and experienced gynaecologist and obstetrician, specialising in general fertility, fertility preservation, recurrent miscarriage, reproductive surgery, and general obstetrics and gynaecology. With over 19 years of experience in the field, Dr Teoh received his medical training in the United Kingdom and has developed exceptional skills in various areas of gynaecology and obstetrics.

Dr Teoh holds several prestigious qualifications, including being a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCP Ire) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Glasgow, and completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Obstetrics (MBBCh) from The Queen's University of Belfast.

Dr Teoh's expertise lies in adolescent gynaecology, fertility, paediatric gynaecology, pre-conception counselling, recurrent miscarriage, minimally invasive surgery for gynaecology, and pregnancy care. He has received advanced training in laparoscopic surgery for fertility and gynaecology patients, completing the UK Royal College's specialised training in gynaecology surgery and laparoscopy. Dr Teoh is also proficient in microsurgical sperm retrieval using a surgical microscope for male subfertility.

During his tenure in the UK, Dr Teoh was a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with a subspecialty in reproductive medicine and surgery appointed by the RCOG UK. He chaired the national trainees in reproductive medicine and surgery and has achieved numerous accolades for his research work in reproductive immunology, including a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Glasgow and a Master of Science in Clinical Trials from the University of London.

In 2015, Dr Teoh relocated to Perth, Australia, where he continues his medical practice and research interests in fertility, obstetrics, and gynaecology. His attention to detail and dedication to providing the best possible care to his patients set him apart, ensuring a personalized and thorough approach throughout the treatment process. Dr Teoh's multilingual abilities allow for effective communication with patients who prefer to communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, or Malay.
