Dr Suren Subramaniam

Dr. Suren Subramaniam is a Specialist General Surgeon from Australia with expertise in a range of sub-specialties, including thyroid and parathyroid surgery and melanoma surgery. He has spent a considerable amount of time training and practicing in various hospitals in Perth, New South Wales, and Victoria. His post-fellowship training included a year in the head and neck surgical oncology unit at Wollongong Hospital and a year at the endocrine surgery units at Royal North Shore Hospital and Hornsby Ku Ring Gai Hospital, Mater Private Hospital, and Sydney Adventist Hospital. He also completed surgical oncology training at the Peter MacCallam Cancer Centre in Melbourne.

Dr. Subramaniam is focused on providing multidisciplinary care to patients with melanoma and soft tissue sarcomas, serving on the clinical panel of a state-wide melanoma service through Western Australian Kirkbride Melanoma Advisory Service (WAKMAS) in Perth. He's also an experienced endoscopist, performing adult gastroenterology and colonoscopy procedures.

In addition to his medical practice at Peel Health Campus, Dr. Subramaniam has recently started practicing at Hollywood Private Hospital and is taking new referrals. He is passionate about teaching and research and has a track record of published work in reputed surgical journals. Dr. Subramaniam is a member of several groups, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), Melanoma and Skin Cancer Trials Group (MASC), and Australia & New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons Society (ANZES).
