Dr Edmund Brice

Dr. Edmund Brice is a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist based in Mandurah, Western Australia. He completed his medical education at the prestigious University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital, followed by a research period focusing on the molecular biology of angiotensin converting enzyme. Dr. Brice has an impressive list of qualifications including an MBChB from the University of Cape Town in 1985, FCP(SA) from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa in 1995, a PhD from the University of Cape Town in 1995, and FRACP from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2009.

With over two decades of experience in the field, Dr. Brice has honed his skills and expertise in various areas of cardiology. After completing his postgraduate training in internal medicine and cardiology at Groote Schuur Hospital, he successfully obtained a cardiology fellowship at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in 1999. Following this, Dr. Brice returned to Cape Town in 2000 to work as a cardiologist and senior specialist at Tygerberg Academic Hospital. In this position, he engaged in various areas of cardiology, including interventional coronary procedures, pacing, and echocardiography.

Dr. Brice has a particular interest in echocardiography and took on the role of lead consultant in the echo laboratory at Tygerberg Academic Hospital. He also ran the lipid/cardiac risk clinic, where he participated in numerous international research trials focused on therapeutic agents for lipid disorders. His expertise in all areas of cardiology, including angiography, transesophageal echo, and pacing, allows him to provide comprehensive care to his patients.
