Dr Joseph Hanna

Dr Joseph Hanna is a highly skilled and accomplished consultant interventional and clinical cardiologist with extensive experience in all aspects of cardiology. Holding a fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, along with a membership with the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Physicians, he is well-recognized for his outstanding contribution to the medical field.

After completing his basic physician training at New South Wales, John Hunter Hospital, Hanna moved forward to undertake advanced training in cardiology at Gold Coast University and the Prince Charles Hospitals in Queensland. In addition to his Australian educational experience, he also completed a high-volume interventional cardiology fellowship in Canada. His mentorship with world-renowned pioneers in the field provided him with extensive knowledge and expertise in interventional cardiology.

Dr Hanna is a specialist in complex coronary artery disease management with advanced intra-coronary imaging modalities and physiologic flow assessment, optimizing stent implantation through radial and femoral approaches. His other prominent skills include the percutaneous management of structural heart diseases, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement and patent foramen ovale closure for stroke prevention, in addition to performing right heart catheterization and cardiac biopsies.

Furthermore, Dr Hanna is an expert in preventive cardiology, chest pain assessment, heart failure, arrhythmias, and peri-operative management of cardiac patients. He performs transoesophageal echocardiography, exercise, and Dobutamine stress echocardiography to mitigate and diagnose complex cardiac issues.
