Dr Toby Leys

Dr Toby Leys is a specialist knee surgeon based in Claremont, Perth. With his primary focus on knee surgeries, Dr Leys provides comprehensive treatment for a variety of knee conditions. His special interests include sports knee injuries, ligament reconstruction, and both primary and revision knee replacement surgery.

Dr Leys is the founder of the Perth Knee Clinic, located at Coastal Orthopaedics, where he offers multidisciplinary treatment to his patients. He also runs the Acute Knee Injury Clinic at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

After graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1997, Dr Leys completed his Basic and Advanced Surgical Training in Orthopaedics in Western Australia. He obtained Fellowships from the Royal Australasian College of Surgery and the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2008. Dr Leys further specialized in complex limb reconstruction and specialist knee surgery through fellowship programs in Melbourne and Sydney.

Not only does Dr Leys excel in his clinical practice, but he also actively participates in teaching and supervising junior medical staff and surgical trainees at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He serves as an AOA Orthopaedic Trainee Supervisor and coordinates the Knee Module of Bone School for the Advanced Orthopaedic Training Program of Western Australia.
