Dr Benjamin Hewitt

Dr Benjamin Hewitt is an orthopaedic surgeon practicing in Nedlands, Western Australia. He went to school in Perth and studied medicine at the University of Western Australia graduating in 1994. After completing his basic training, he spent a year In Warwickshire, England as a Orthopaedic Speciality Registrar. Following completion of his orthopaedic fellowship he undertook a Sports Orthopaedic fellowship in Brisbane specialising in knee and shoulder injuries. He has an ongoing involvement in the orthopaedic management of a number of WA’s elite sporting teams. Ben is happily married and has 3 adult children. Ben is actively involved in competing , coaching and running competitions for surfclub, swimming and surfski paddling, therefore he is well placed to appreciate sports injuries and also wear and tear on our joints as we age. Dr Hewitt is affiliated with two prestigious hospitals in Western Australia, Bethesda Hospital and Hollywood Private Hospital. These affiliations allow him to provide his patients with the highest quality care and access to state-of-the-art facilities.

Dr Hewitt specialises in open and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and hip. He regularly performs hip , knee and shoulder replacement surgery. He performs arthroscopic reconstruction surgery of knee and shoulder including ACL reconstruction, shoulder stabilisation and rotator cuff repair.

Dr Hewitt is dedicated to providing personalised care to each of his patients, taking the time to understand their unique needs and goals.
