Dr Sebastian Ranguis is a prominent Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Doctor, Head and Neck Surgeon, specialised in Paediatric Otolaryngology. He holds certification with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and completed an international fellowship in Paediatric Otolaryngology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada accredited by the American Society of Paediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO). Dr Ranguis’ areas of expertise include complex airway surgery, adult and paediatric head and neck surgery, rhinology and otology.

Dr Ranguis currently holds surgical supervisor positions at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, the Northern Beaches Hospital and the Central Coast Area Health Service, providing the complete scope of ENT surgeries to patients while simultaneously training ENT surgical trainees. Additionally, he is actively involved in providing on-call duties for NSW Health and offers emergent and critical ENT services to patients in need across a broad geographical region.

Dr Ranguis’ areas of surgical interests include paediatric and adult airway surgery, otology, rhinology, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic surgery, including rhinoplasty and otoplasty. He has worked at several prestigious hospitals in New South Wales, including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, and St. Vincent's Hospital, throughout his training.

Moreover, Dr Ranguis is an accomplished researcher and has presented his research both nationally and internationally in the areas of airway surgery, lateral, and anterior skull base surgery, otology, and cochlear implantation. Furthermore, he has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored numerous book chapters on skull base surgery. Dr Ranguis has won several international awards, including the Harry Barberian Scholarship 2020 (University of Toronto) and the SENTAC Academic Bowl Prize 2020 (San Diego, California).

Dr Ranguis is dedicated to providing patient-centric and evidence-based medical care while ensuring that consultations are comprehensive and tailored to address the individual needs and concerns of his patients. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with family, going to the park with his young daughter, and staying fit through ocean swimming.
