Dr. Tejas Patel is a dedicated consultant general neurologist with vast experience in movement disorders, neurophysiology, and stroke. After obtaining his undergraduate medical degree in India, he migrated to Australia, where he underwent postgraduate neurology training in New South Wales. He has worked at several hospitals, including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Nepean Hospital, Orange Base Hospital, and Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
Dr. Patel is particularly passionate about improving the services offered to patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders in the Northern Beaches community. He is working tirelessly to make device-aided therapies, such as Duodopa gel intestinal infusion and apomorphine therapies, available through the Northern Beaches Hospital. Once these services are available, he plans to be an integral stakeholder and service provider.
Apart from his clinical interests, Dr. Patel remains committed to general neurology. He performs in-depth neurological assessments and works towards optimizing care for his patients and their carers. Additionally, Dr. Patel is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, as well as English, making him accessible to a wider range of patients.
