Dr Paul Silberstein is an accomplished movement disorder neurologist with over a decade of experience. He received his medical degree with first-class honors and the University Medal from the University of New South Wales. He then trained in neurology at Sydney's St. George and Westmead Hospitals and the Royal Free Hospital in London, UK. He completed a clinical and research fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, where he obtained a doctorate in medicine focused on Parkinson's disease and dystonia.
Dr Silberstein's primary focus is the management of Parkinson's disease and related disorders, tremor disorders, and other neurological conditions that affect human movement. He is highly skilled in providing medical and surgical therapies for movement disorders. He is an expert in deep brain stimulation therapy, which he provides to patients at Integrated Neurology, a neurology and rehabilitation medicine practice he established in proximity to Royal North Shore Hospital.
Dr Silberstein is a recognized national and international expert in deep brain stimulation, earning him respect from colleagues and patients. Dr Silberstein is a senior staff specialist neurologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and has a Visiting Medical Officer position at North Shore Private Hospital.
