A/Prof. Alex Saxby is a highly skilled and experienced ENT surgeon who specialises in complex ear surgery for both adults and children. With expertise in minimally invasive endoscopic ear surgery and hearing implants such as Cochlear Implants, Alex is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for his patients.
As a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Sydney and the head of the Department for Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Northern Beaches Hospital, Alex has a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in his field. After graduating from Cambridge University Medical School, he moved to Australia in 2002. Since gaining his FRACS in 2011, he has sought further experience in complex ear surgery and trained at some of the leading institutions in the world, including the Fisch Microsurgery Institute in Switzerland and the Causse Clinic in France.
Alex is also an Australian representative for the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery (IWGEES), which is dedicated to promoting research into minimally invasive ear surgery. In addition, he co-founded the Sydney Endoscopic Ear Surgery Research Group, which conducts innovative research in this field. Alex's expertise is highly regarded, and he regularly speaks at international conferences and directs training courses on complex ear surgery.
