Dr Olivier van den Brink

Dr Olivier van den Brink is an exceptionally skilled cardiologist, specialising in the management of Heart Failure. Originally from the Netherlands, he relocated to Australia in 2001 to pursue his career in medicine. Dr van den Brink underwent training at the prestigious Alfred Hospital and completed his PhD at the Baker Medical Research Institute in 2005. He further honed his expertise in Non-invasive Imaging and Device Therapy during his two-year tenure at Leiden University Medical Centre.

With a particular focus on device therapy, Dr van den Brink possesses extensive knowledge and experience in pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapies. He is also well-versed in various imaging techniques, including echocardiogram, stress echo, transesophageal echo, multi-slice cardiac CT scan, and diagnostic coronary angiography.

Dr van den Brink holds a position at the Alfred Hospital, where he performs pacemaker and defibrillator insertions, as well as stress and transesophageal echocardiograms. Over the course of his career, he has secured numerous grants, scholarships, and awards, and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in international medical journals.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr van den Brink prioritizes quality time with his wife, Anna, and their three young children.
