Dr Matthew Beck

Dr. Matthew Beck is an accomplished General Surgeon who has dedicated two years to the specialized field of oncoplastic breast cancer and reconstructive surgery. He boasts extensive experience in breast cancer surgery and melanoma and skin cancer surgery, including local flap repairs, endocrine thyroid surgery, and general surgery involving laparoscopic surgery. As an Australian-trained Surgeon, Dr. Beck has built substantial expertise through various training areas, including RPA in Sydney, while maintaining close ties to his hometown, Wollongong.

Dr. Beck earned his Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle before starting his junior doctor training in Wollongong, his hometown. He then continued his surgical training at RPA Hospital in Sydney, where he received extensive specialization in breast cancer and melanoma surgeries, among other areas of general surgery. Afterward, he completed the highly coveted two-year Oncoplastic breast surgery fellowship through the beast surg ANZ program.

Currently, Dr. Beck serves as a VMO at Wollongong Private Hospital and some public hospitals. He is a member of the Illawarra and Shoalhaven multidisciplinary team, providing excellent care to patients undergoing breast and melanoma cancer surgery.
