Dr Michael Yunaev

Dr Michael Yunaev is a leading Oncoplastic and General Surgeon who specialises in all aspects of Breast Cancer Surgery and Breast Disease Management. As the Director of Sydney Breast Care, Dr Yunaev manages several locations across Sydney, providing multidisciplinary care for Breast Malignancies and Benign Conditions. With a permanent presence at Norwest Private Hospital in Sydney, the center addresses both medical and aesthetic breast related concerns.

Dr Yunaev’s interest in surgical management of breast conditions and aesthetics comes after his completion of a Fellowship in General Surgery at Westmead Hospital. Having developed a keen passion for Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, Dr Yunaev undertook two more years of Post-Fellowship training. During this time, he completed his Masters in Surgery at the prestigious University of Sydney and authored a dissertation on Oncoplastic Breast Surgery.

Dr Yunaev is a proud member of numerous associations, including the Breast Surgeons Australia and New Zealand, Australasian Society of Breast Disease, and General Surgeons of Australia, in addition to being a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Holding the position of Consultant Breast Surgeon at BreastScreen NSW and the Sydney Breast Clinic, Dr Yunaev is a Visiting Medical Officer at Norwest Private Hospital.
