Dr Ben Kofi Oteng-Boateng

Dr. Oteng-Boateng is an exceptional Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon specialized in providing comprehensive services in Australia and New Zealand. He is a registered surgeon with the medical and dental boards of both countries. Dr. Oteng-Boateng's areas of expertise include a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, from surgical and nonsurgical management of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders to surgical reconstruction of the face.

He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with honours from the University of Otago, followed by four years of full-time work as a dentist. Subsequently, he obtained his medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, MBChB) from the University of Auckland and spent two years as a medical doctor in New Zealand, completing rotations in General and Emergency Medicine, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, Orthopaedic, and General Surgery.

Dr. Oteng-Boateng traveled to Australia to complete his speciality training in Advanced Surgical Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, alongside a Master of Surgery degree from the University of Sydney. He earned the Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in February 2015. Dr. Oteng-Boateng is committed to providing the highest standard of care to his patients with compassion and consideration.

He remains up-to-date with the latest literature in surgery, medicine and dentistry. Dr. Oteng-Boateng shares his knowledge and experience as a clinical and teaching surgeon at the Westmead Hospital, and as an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Wollongong, where he teaches medical students.
