Dr Malinda Itchins is an accomplished medical oncologist specialising in the management of lung and gastrointestinal cancers, including pancreatic cancer. She is currently based in the suburb of St Leonards, Sydney, Australia. Dr Itchins practices at Royal North Shore Hospital, GenesisCare, and North Shore Private Hospital.
With a wealth of qualifications and experience, Dr Itchins has established herself as an expert in her field. In 2020, she successfully completed her doctoral studies, which focused on drug resistance in ALK-rearranged non-small cell lung cancer. Her research involved investigating resistance both preclinically and through a clinical trial.
Dr Itchins holds significant roles that recognize her expertise. She serves as the Lung Cancer Chair of the Clinical Oncology of Australia (COSA) Council and is appointed as the Early Career Representative for the Thoracic Oncology Group of Australasia Scientific Committee. Additionally, she leads several lung cancer clinical trials as a Primary and Sub Investigator.
