With a class 1 honours MBBS degree from UNSW, Dr Kenny Low embarked on an enriching journey in the field of medicine. He pursued his internship and residency at Royal North Shore Hospital, where he exhibited exceptional skills and passion towards his profession. His outstanding performance earned him the distinguished Gordon Gordon Taylor Medal in 2003 for securing the top score in Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Part One Surgical Primary. Dr Low then went on to accomplish advanced general surgical training via various rotations in Sydney, Lismore Base, Wagga Wagga, Tamworth, and ultimately completed his urological training in Brisbane. He augmented his knowledge and expertise in minimally invasive urological surgery through his fellowship in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2009. In 2013, Dr Low further expanded his experience, this time using the da Vinci robotic unit for the prostate and kidneys at the Stanford Hospital and Clinics in California, USA. Dr Low's exceptional flair and commitment to his profession are further evident in his dedication to rural health. He decided to open his private practice in Lismore, focusing on rural communities, after his general surgical rotations at Lismore Base Hospital. Currently, Dr Low practices privately at St Vincent's Private Hospital, Lismore, John Flynn Private Hospital-Tugun, and Ballina Day Surgery, and publicly at Lismore Base Hospital, Ballina District Hospital and Casino District Hospital. Dr Low is truly a remarkable medical professional, focused on providing quality healthcare service, achieving excellence in his field.
