Dr Kavinderjit Nanda

Dr. Kavinderjit Nanda is a Gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist with a wealth of experience in the field. He earned his medical degree, MB BCH BAO, from Dublin, Ireland in 2001. Dr. Nanda then went on to obtain his MRCP (Ireland) in 2003, MRCP (UK) in 2005, and MD from the University College Dublin in 2011. He further solidified his expertise by obtaining the FEBGH (European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology) qualification in 2011 and ECFMG (United States) certification in 2012. Dr. Nanda's dedication to his profession is showcased through his FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) qualification, which he achieved in 2015.

Dr. Nanda's interests lie predominantly in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in this area. He possesses a particular passion for the diagnosis and management of IBD, along with functional bowel disorders, colorectal cancer screening, diseases of the pancreas and biliary tree, and interventional endoscopy.

Having completed his training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Dublin, Ireland, Dr. Nanda sought to further refine his expertise in the field. He pursued subspecialty training in inflammatory bowel disease at the prestigious Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre in Boston, USA.

In 2012, Dr. Nanda relocated to Australia to enhance his skills in therapeutic endoscopy at the renowned Westmead Hospital Endoscopy Unit in Sydney. In 2014, he made the move to Queensland, where he established a private practice in Brisbane City. Additionally, he serves as a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist at the Mater Hospital Brisbane and QE II hospital. Dr. Nanda is also committed to providing his services to regional QLD, specifically the Rockhampton area, where he visits as a visiting Gastroenterologist.

Dr. Nanda's areas of interest and expertise include inflammatory bowel disease, diseases of the pancreas and biliary tree, colorectal cancer screening, complex polypectomy, and quality measures in endoscopy.
