Prof David Paterson, an Infectious Disease Specialist based in Brisbane, Australia, is recognized as a leading authority in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. With over three decades of experience, Prof Paterson's expertise spans a wide range of infectious diseases, including bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections. He specializes in managing complex infections, particularly those encountered in immunocompromised patients and the critically ill.
Prof Paterson completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 1988. He then obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in the Adult Medicine Division, as well as Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2002.
