After obtaining her medical degree with Honours from Monash University, Dr. Hale completed four years of hospital residency, emergency department and family practice rotations before commencing her specialist training at the Repatriation Hospital in Heidelberg Melbourne. Her advanced training in infectious diseases included ID and microbiology training at respected hospitals such as the Alfred, John Hunter, and Royal North Shore hospitals.

Dr. Hale's experience in the field of infectious diseases led her to work as an infectious diseases consultant in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney before returning to general medicine. She then completed a 2-year research fellowship at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she published two clinical trials exploring the cardiovascular and endometrial effects of soy isoflavones.

With a keen interest in midlife and menopause health, Dr. Hale pursued her PhD at the University of Sydney, studying the hormonal dynamics underlying the transition and publishing several papers that contributed to a better understanding of menopausal health. Her vast experience in infectious disease and general medicine includes working at the Port Hedland hospital in remote Western Australia, where she gained valuable experience in community-acquired and chronic infections, Indigenous health, and disease.

Since returning to the Sunshine Coast in 2011, Dr. Hale has continued to advance her medical skills, studying the systems-biology approach to diagnosis, and becoming a certified practitioner in Functional Medicine in 2016. This approach lets her undertake meticulous assessments to arrive at the right diagnosis, manage and prevent disease, and always seeks to minimize harm.
