A/Prof Daniel Worthley

A/Prof Daniel Worthley is a well qualified gastroenterologist who specialises in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal diseases, particularly gastrointestinal cancer. Currently based in Spring Hill, Brisbane, he practices at the North West Private Hospital. Dr. Daniel Worthley completed his medical training with distinction, receiving a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honors. He furthered his education by obtaining a PhD and a Master of Public Health from the University of Queensland (UQ). Moving to New York in 2010, Dr. Daniel Worthley worked at Columbia University, where he devoted his time to researching gastrointestinal cancer. He gained valuable insights and expertise during his four-year tenure, which he skillfully applies in his current practice. Since 2015, Dr. Daniel Worthley has been leading a dedicated bowel cancer research team in Adelaide while simultaneously working as a gastroenterologist in both the private and public sectors. His extensive experience in the field gives him a unique perspective on providing comprehensive and patient-centered care. In 2019, Dr. Daniel Worthley formed a partnership with A/Prof David Hewett, another accomplished gastroenterologist, to establish GIE in Brisbane. A/Prof David also completed his medical and gastroenterology training in Brisbane and holds a PhD from UQ. During his colonoscopy fellowship in Indianapolis, USA, he obtained a Master of Science in clinical research methods.
