Dr Ju-Lee Ooi

Dr Ooi's primary focus is on eye care and she has a particular interest in various eye conditions including Cataract Surgery, Macular Degeneration, Retinal Artery and Vein Occlusions, Diabetic Retinopathy Retina, Glaucoma, General Ophthalmology, and Systemic Diseases Affecting the Eye. With her extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, she is dedicated to providing high-quality care to her patients.

Throughout her career, Dr Ooi has achieved recognition for her exceptional contributions to ophthalmology research. She was awarded the Prince of Wales Hospital Major Contribution to Ophthalmology Research Prize in 2004. In the same year, she also received The Gold Award in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme and the Rural General Practice Prize from the Department of Health. Her academic excellence was acknowledged earlier in her educational journey, receiving the Premier’s Certificate for Excellence in the Higher School Certificate in 1996 and the J.C. Hoskin Medal for Dux at James Ruse Agricultural High School in 1997.

Dr Ooi's dedication and commitment to her profession have been further recognized through various scholarships. She was the recipient of the University of NSW Alumni Association Undergraduate Scholarship from 1998 to 2001 and the University of Sydney Asea Brown Boveri Bursary in 1996.
