With over 15 years of experience in psychiatry, Dr Makielan began her specialist medical training in psychiatry at the Maudsley in the UK and completed her specialist training in Australia. She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) qualification and certifications in Child Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry.

Dr Makielan is passionate about providing collaborative and holistic care to her patients, striving for optimal outcomes for infants, children, adults, and their families. She believes in a treatment approach based on mutual respect, responsibility, and commitment.
